ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM ON A GOURD

SU-AM-2

DEBORAH HILDINGER

In this class, I will provide a comprehensive overview of my approach to initiating mixed-media works. The focus of the session will be on demonstrating techniques and exploring the creative process, rather than completing a finished piece. We will begin with whitewashing the surface, followed by the application of dyes and paints, and conclude with iridescent oil paint sticks. As the paint sticks require a minimum of 24 hours to dry, please bring a box or paper bag to safely transport your artwork after class; plastic bags are not recommended, as they may adhere to the iridescent paint. All dyes, paints, and iridescent oil paint sticks will be supplied. However, participants are welcome to bring their own preferred colors if desired.
