This class will give you something to Crow about! Using various pieces of gourds cut out to form the head, wings and tail on a penguin shaped gourd for the body, you will learn how to assemble the pieces (these will be already prepared) to form the Crow. Then with Quickwood, you will use it to accent the special features of our feathered friend. To finish the Crow, we will paint all the special details this Crow needs to make it complete. Should go home with the Crow finished.
This is for the Crow lovers! Crows are known for bringing a special "present" for the ones that feed them! You can thank Suzi Nonn for this class, she suggested (requested) and I brought it to "inspired fruition"!

Fall, my favorite time of year! Cool temperatures, and an array of autumn leaf colors. This class project creates a fall centerpiece of oak leaves. Using an oak leaf template draw the lid and bowl portions on the gourd. The next step is to separate the lid from the bowl. Slowly cut out all the negative space between the leaves. Carve veins in the leaves and where leaves overlap each other.
There will not be time to color the gourd, but students will be given bottles of inks to take home to finish their project.

This little doll will be a fun one to doodle a design on her gourd dress using Micron pens and colored pencils to add that splash of color. I will have some design patterns you can use as a reference, or you can totally use your own inspiration to put your own creative touch on Dollie's dress. Once your doodling is completed, you will learn how to apply her face with the micron pen and colored pencils using a small spinner gourd for the head. I will go step by step, showing how layers of color will accent her facial features. You will have a selection of hair colors to choose from for Dolly, as well as using beads for her arms and legs to complete your doll.
