Resin Plant Pots

Spend the afternoon creating small pots for small plants.

Students will receive two 3" to 4" diamenter gourds. The first gourd will be already resined and cured. After cutting the top off and cleaning the inside, the inside will be sealed with clear resin. 

 

The second gourd will be drilled and ready to attach to a turner. Students will pick their favorite mica powders to color their gourd. This gourd will be picked up Saturday morning.

Students Need to Bring: Tools you use to clean the inside of a gourd

Bubbles Galore

You will use UV resin, mica powders to design this project. I will show you how to add dimension to your gourd.

Students Need to Bring: Gourd 5" in dia. X 5" tall, aprons, masks and gloves.


Mosaic Vase with Lid

Learn to use gourd out-cuts as mosaic tiles! The tiles are pre-cut and pre-carved due to time constraints. Students will design and carve the top design on the ore-dyed gourd before adhering the tiles. Line-work and beads complete the main gourd. Assembly of the lid is next adding a drawer pull to the top of the lid. Finishing touches are added with dried botanicals and of course more beads!

Students Need to Bring: Students will need to bring a carver and assorted ball burs.


Needle Felting Bearded Gnome (3-D)

 We'll use special  needles to shape wool roving into a cone. Then we'll add a shirt, hat,   beard, and nose in the colors of your choice. Once your base is ready, you   can add a variety of details to give your gnome personality. This class is   suitable for any skill level, but intended for beginners. All supplies are   included. A take-home bag of tools to keep felting at home is available for $5.00
